Walker Masking Policy:

Please wear masks and follow social distancing and other protocols. Following these policies helps people to feel safe.

Right now, the Walker Church policy is that singing must be masked and socially distanced. Up to two singers can be unmasked during singing, and one speaker can unmask while actively at the microphone. Worship leaders are responsible for enforcing this, but the expectation remains even if they don’t.

Sunday Morning Meditation Circle

At 9:00 we meet in the Meditation room (or on Zoom: Meeting ID 382 546 7965.  Meeting Passcode 8Yscys.)

We meditate for the first 30 minutes. Then we have a musical selection and a reading, after which we use the Circle Method to check in for 3 minutes each. We go around a couple times and then have a closing.

All are welcome!

News from the Board

At August 28 meeting, the Board with help from attending congregation members approved a final revision of the resolutions to be presented at the September 11 Charge Conference. A copy of the final version is attached.

It is likely that the lead for our weekly food distro will shift from Andy to Carmen (from Sister’s Camelot), so that we have a lead who is fluent in both English and Spanish. Because of this shift, the food distro may move to Mondays at noon. If that does become the case, we will communicate that broadly.

We also want to bring to your attention that Mary Buckley will be leading a one-time membership class. This is important, because church membership is required to vote in the Charge Conference on September 11, which is the conference when we will finalize the decisions discussed over the past several weeks. Again: if you want to vote in the charge conference, you must complete your membership before September 11. Talk to Howard if you would like to participate!
